“手换”操作方便，耗时少，缺点是换油不彻 底，只能放掉四分之一三分之一旧油液，大约是4升。

“机换”整个过程约需1小时，需油12升左右。这种换油方式的优点是换油比较彻 底，能够放掉95%以上的旧油液。

值得注意的是，两种换油方法都要在发动机启动的情况下进行。更换自动变速器油液，在操作的时候必须是在热车的状态下，更换前应行驶20分钟以上，不能冷车换油。换油时要启动发动机，把各挡位从P挡到N、D、L1、L2等挡位来回拨动，然后才开始换油液。
