　　配备自动变速器的车辆在等候经过信号或堵车时，一些驾驶员常将换挡杆坚持在D挡，同时踩下制动踏板，若时间很短，这样做是允许的。但若停车时间长较好换入N挡，并拉紧驻车制动。由于换挡杆在D挡时，自动变速器汽车普通有微小的前移，若长时间踩住制动踏板，等于强行遏止这种前移，使得变速器油温升高，油液容易蜕变，特别在空调系统工作时，发起机怠速较高的状况下更为不利。
